Lamination Can Be Broadly Classified Into Two Main Categories

2026-01-06

Lamination can be broadly classified into two main categories:

Hot Lamination

This method generally uses solid adhesive to bond the upper and lower layers of a product. Since solid adhesives have a high melting point, they typically need to be melted into a liquid state before laminating the layers together.

Cold Lamination

This process primarily relies on liquid adhesive to bond the upper and lower layers. Due to the low melting point of liquid adhesives, heating is not required. It can usually be applied through rotary or flat lamination methods.

Maintains for Lamination Machines:

1.Keep the machine clean. Before starting up each day, use an air compressor to remove dust, thread scraps, and debris from inside and outside the machine.

2.When starting up, first turn on the power and set the temperature to 50–60°C. Do not exceed 80°C. Then adjust to the desired temperature. Parameters such as speed, temperature, and pressure can be freely adjusted according to product requirements.

3.Do not place hard objects such as scissors, pens, rulers, or tools on the workbench or external panels, as they may enter the conveyor belt and damage the machine. Ensure that the machine's leveling, grounding, and independent leakage protection switches meet safety standards to guarantee safe operation.

4.Regularly inspect the transmission components of the machine and lubricate the bearings periodically to ensure smooth operation. If the machine is relocated, adjust its level to prevent uneven pressure or conveyor belt misalignment, which could cause unnecessary damage.

5.Do not shut down the machine abruptly during high-temperature operation. In case of emergencies, use manual controls to slowly rotate the conveyor belt to prevent damage from high temperatures. During lamination, try to ensure the top layer is smaller than the bottom layer, and the product width must not exceed the machine's usable width. Otherwise, it may affect lamination quality, cause conveyor belt misalignment, or stop the machine.

6.Before shutting down, release the pressure, turn off the heating system, maintain the conveyor belt, and set a delayed cooling or automatic shutdown. Clean the conveyor belt regularly.
